Foot massage therapy session

Discover the power of Foot Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle, therapeutic foot treatment that supports your body’s natural

ability to rebalance and heal. By applying pressure to specific reflex points on the

feet—each linked to organs and systems in the body—reflexology helps promote deep

relaxation, relieve stress, and encourage emotional and physical wellbeing. Reflexology is

suitable for all ages and I can support clients from childhood to seniors.

This non-invasive therapy has roots in ancient Egypt and traditional Chinese medicine,

and is now widely used to complement modern healthcare. Reflexology can be

beneficial for a range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, fatigue, digestive issues,

hormonal imbalance, sleep problems, poor circulation, and pain relief.

At Rivers Wellbeing I also offer Fertility Supportive Reflexology and Oncology Care

Reflexology focusing on specific reflex points to support your needs in the best

possible way.

Fertility Reflexology can be a supportive, holistic therapy for people experiencing

fertility challenges — both men and women — by helping balance the body, reduce

stress, and encourage optimal reproductive health. While it’s not a cure or a

replacement for medical treatment, reflexology can complement other fertility

approaches beautifully. Here’s how it can help:

🌿 For Both Men and Women

1. Reduces stress and anxiety:
Chronic stress can disrupt hormone balance and menstrual or sperm health.

Reflexology encourages deep relaxation and activates the parasympathetic nervous

system, helping the body move out of “fight or flight” mode and into a state more

conducive to conception.

2. Balances hormones:
By working reflex points linked to the endocrine system (pituitary, thyroid, adrenal,

and reproductive glands), reflexology can support hormone regulation, which is

essential for ovulation, sperm production, and overall reproductive function.

3. Improves circulation:
Reflexology helps increase blood flow and oxygenation throughout the body, including the reproductive organs. This supports the delivery of nutrients and removal of toxins, creating a healthier environment for egg and sperm development.

4. Supports the body’s natural rhythms:
Encouraging balance and homeostasis may help regulate menstrual cycles, improve sleep, and enhance overall wellbeing—all of which contribute to a more fertile state.

🌸 For Women

  • Regulates menstrual cycles: Reflexology can help bring irregular cycles into balance by supporting hormonal harmony.

  • Eases PMS and menstrual discomfort: Working on reflex points linked to the ovaries, uterus, and endocrine system can ease pain and tension.

  • Supports the reproductive organs: Reflexology may help prepare the uterus for implantation by improving blood flow and relaxation in the pelvic area.

  • Supports assisted conception (IVF/IUI): Many women use reflexology alongside medical treatments to stay calm, centered, and physically balanced throughout the process.

🌿 For Men

  • Supports sperm health: Improved circulation and hormonal balance may support healthy sperm count, motility, and morphology.

  • Reduces stress-related factors: Stress can negatively affect sperm production and libido—reflexology can help counteract this.

  • Enhances detoxification: Supporting the liver and kidneys through reflex points may help clear toxins that can impact reproductive health.

Stress & Fertility

Stress activates the fight-or-flight response, telling the body to pause non-essential functions—including reproduction. Reflexology helps calm the nervous system, which may:

  • Lower cortisol levels

  • Restore hormonal balance

  • Improve reproductive system function

Reflexology offers a moment to soften, to be held, and to reconnect with your own inner rhythm.  If you are  curious to explore reflexology as part of your fertility journey, you're warmly welcome to reach out.  At Rivers Wellbeing, sessions are held in a gentle and supportive space where you can pause, soften, and reconnect with your body.

Oncology Care Reflexology at Rivers Wellbeing

Receiving a cancer diagnosis and moving through treatment can be an overwhelming and deeply emotional experience. Oncology Care Reflexology offers a gentle and nurturing space to find moments of ease, stillness, grounding and comfort throughout your journey.

Reflexology is a calming, touch-based therapy that works with the reflex points of the feet to support the body’s natural processes. When adapted specifically for those living with cancer, it becomes a soothing, slow and compassionate treatment that honours where you are physically, emotionally, and energetically — without placing any demand on your body.

This therapy may help to:
• Encourage deep relaxation and rest
• Reduce feelings of stress, anxiety and overwhelm
• Support emotional wellbeing and resilience
• Ease tension and promote a sense of grounding
• Support comfort during and after cancer treatments
• Offer gentle touch when the body and heart need care

Each session is thoughtfully adapted depending on treatment stage, energy levels and how you’re feeling on the day. There is no expectation — simply space to be held, supported and cared for.

I am VTCT Level 3 Diploma qualified, and have also undertaken specialist training in Oncology Care Reflexology, ensuring that treatments are safe, considerate and responsive to the unique needs of individuals at any stage of their cancer journey.

You don’t have to navigate this alone.
If you feel drawn to receive gentle support, you are warmly welcome here.
